What it is
A BLE HID Keyboard example for Snap Spectacles, with a prototype word processor that demonstrates real text entry on AR glasses. The reference build for anyone trying to make Spectacles a productive surface, not just a viewing surface.
Why
Spatial typing remains an open problem on every AR platform. Voice has limits (privacy, accuracy, social context). On-glass virtual keyboards are slow. SkywriterBLE bets on the obvious answer — pair a real BLE keyboard — and provides the reference plumbing so the rest of the lens ecosystem can do the same.
Status
Active. Pair-once-and-go works; the word processor demo is the proof. Awarded 3rd Place OSS Prize at the Lensfest April 2026 Spectacles Community Challenge.
