SkywriterBLE wins 3rd Place OSS Prize at Lensfest April 2026

A share on one of IoTone, Inc.’s XR prototype projects turned into a Lensfest hackathon win this month. The April 2026 Lensfest Spectacles Community Challenge — run by Lenslist and Snap Inc. — awarded Spectacles-SkywriterBLE 3rd Place in the OSS category.

The lens is a distraction-free word processor for XR. Tiny note-taking and journaling tools are something we keep reaching for in spatial computing — popping up a clean text surface on demand, no chrome, no UI noise, is a huge convenience inside a headset. SkywriterBLE pairs a real BLE HID keyboard to Spectacles so the typing experience matches what you already have on your desk, then renders the text into a quiet floating surface in front of you.

This is the second Lensfest placement in a row for IoTone, Inc., following Polynode’s 2nd Place win in March 2026. Both projects are MIT-licensed; source is on github.com/IoTone.
